Favorite thing to do in Eugene: I love visiting the ÍøÆØÃÅ campus while school is in session. There's something energizing about the hustle and bustle of students, the fun university events and activities, and the changing seasons that bring the campus to life. I also really enjoy exploring Eugene’s local food scene - there are so many great spots to eat around the city!
Tips for college success: Time management is key! Make sure you're organizing your schedule to balance attending classes, studying, and completing homework. But don’t forget to step outside of your dorm - meet new people, attend campus events, and join clubs or organizations that interest you. Give yourself permission to get out of your comfort zone and try something new - you’ll grow the most when you do.
Why you decided to work at the UO: I chose to work at the ÍøÆØÃÅ because of the people! Everyone on campus is incredibly kind and welcoming. From day one, I’ve felt like a valued part of the team, and that supportive environment makes UO a truly special place to work.
The best part of my job: I love helping students find their home away from home for their college journey. Connecting with students and families in my region and opening their eyes to all the possibilities beyond their own backyard is incredibly rewarding. I always want my students to know that their possibilities are endless - and that they truly can achieve anything they set their minds to.
Favorite place to hang out on the UO campus: I’m a big lover of the outdoors and will take any excuse to be among the changing leaves and refreshing breeze on the UO campus. Fenton Hall Park is the perfect spot to lay down a blanket, open a book, and spend an afternoon under the beautiful Oregon sky.
Favorite Duck: As an avid Disney fan, my favorite ducks by far are Donald and Daisy Duck!
If you didn't work in UO Admissions: If I weren’t working in UO Admissions, I would open a dog rescue. I’m incredibly passionate about animals, especially dogs and believe every single one deserves a safe, loving home.
Special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies: I'm a passionate music lover having played the trumpet from 6th grade through college. My love for music even led me to join a music fraternity, allowing me to stay connected with my musical roots and collaborate with fellow musicians. In addition to music, I’m an avid traveler - I’ve visited 18 countries so far and plan to continue exploring new cultures and places around the world.
Final words: One of my favorite quotes is, "Everything you want is on the other side of fear." - George Addair. Never be afraid to chase your dreams. True growth begins when you step outside your comfort zone and embrace the unknown.
