Best advice for high school students looking to attend college: My best advice is that when in doubt, take a nap. The college admissions process can be very daunting, and a lot is coming to you from different places. Research shows that when making a big decision, you can improve your problem-solving abilities while sleeping. Being sleep deprived will not only impair your abilities to make a well-informed decision about where you want to go for college but stress you out. So, make sure to take care of yourself during the admissions process, and your future self will thank you!

My favorite UO fun fact: My favorite fun fact is that Friendly Hall, which is now used as classrooms, used to be a dorm! It was the first co-ed dormitory in the US and was built in 1893. If you take the stairs, one side of the building has shorter steps because women had longer dresses and it was easier to walk with smaller stairs.

Favorite Eugene hangout: My favorite place to hang out in Eugene is Hendricks Park! It's very close to campus and my friends, and there are a ton of places that are perfect for hammocking, picnicking, and walks.

Special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies: I'm very passionate about being average at many different things. I love creating messy watercolor paintings, taking months to knit a scarf, and running a 10-minute mile. I also enjoy learning about anything and everything, and I always have a book on hand to read!

If you didn't work in UO Admissions: If I didn't work in admissions, I would be on a mega road trip around the US to find the best coffee and matcha place in the country!
