Best advice for high school students looking to attend college: Challenge yourself in classes, but don’t forget to breathe and enjoy the journey. Try activities and clubs that genuinely excite you, find what makes you feel alive and fuel that spark. Stay organized, stay curious and most importantly, stay kind to yourself and others.
My favorite UO “fun fact”: The is the only university authorized by Disney to use a character, Donald Duck. This is my favorite “fun fact” because I collected Donald Duck throughout my childhood.
Favorite Eugene hangout: My favorite place to hang out in Eugene is at the Inn at the 5th during the holiday season. I absolutely love the “snowfall” and the holiday lights, not to mention a special dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Marché.
Special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies: Cooking and baking have always been a special interest of mine. Currently, I’m enjoying the art of artisan sourdough baking. When I get the opportunity, I love to share my baking with others.
If you didn't work in UO Admissions: Honestly, working with students has been a lifelong passion of mine, so if I wasn’t in admissions I would most likely be found at one of the local high schools or possibly at a community college.
