Favorite thing to do in Eugene: Anything outdoors! I highly recommend getting outside and staying active at college, and Eugene offers a ton of outdoor activities to choose whether you enjoy biking, hiking, running, or just exploring downtown Eugene.

Tips for college success: Stay organized and give yourself grace. The college application process can be stressful, so don’t hesitate to lean on your friends, family, and counselors for support throughout the process.

What is the best part of your job?: The best part of my job is connecting with students! I feel inspired by the students that I work with and love to learn about what they are interested in, what they are passionate about, and how I can support them throughout the application process.

My favorite UO fun fact: The UO is the only university to have a Disney character (Donald Duck) as their mascot!

If you didn't work in UO Admissions: If I didn’t work in admissions, I would be a kindergarten teacher!

Special skills, talents, interests, or hobbies: I love to be outside as much as possible, whether I am hiking, at the beach, on a walk, or sitting outside at a coffee shop or restaurant. I am also always listening to music and love discovering new songs and artists.

Tips for Northern Californians: It can be nerve-racking to go out of state for college! However, know that you are not alone, and that almost half of the UO’s student body is from out of state! Lean on each other during your college transition, put yourself out there, and take advantage of all the resources and opportunities that we offer!
